Nice guide here:

I only use one resistor per dummy plug. Same process just one resistor to pins 1 & 6.

I just fool my Multiple GPU Folding by saying i have Multiple monitors ?!
I never understood this dummy guide

How do you do that? The only way I can get it to think I have 2 monitors is hook up a monitor. When I unplug it I cant run a second GPU2. Gunna make a dummy plug now

Nevermind got it!

Just use these flags

-advmethods -forcegpu nvidia_g80 -gpu 0
and
-advmethods -forcegpu nvidia_g80 -gpu 1

Good thing because I couldnt find a 68ohm lol

+1 ..that's it mate
up to 3x GPU+ (i had in one rig) but then 1GPU reverds back to 2D clocks,
and i (still) can't find a good solution to that so i just bought a new rig around the third GPU :ocx0924:

Yeah it only works properly for 2 GPUs. If you want to run a 3rd that's when you do dummy plug. Got to 19k PPD by adding a second GTS 250 plus another 10k on the Q6600 rig. :)

Grrr I keep getting unstable machine on one client. Whichever one I start second says that. Any idea?

That's what my 9800 cards were doing as they were dying, hope that is not your situation.

Are these instant fails or after awhile? Mine were instant fail after the client was engaged.

Wish you luck bro!!!

This also happens when the multiple monitor setup (windows) isn't fully correct,
i had this when i was setting up 3x GPU , 1 kept saying it was unstable,

had to fiddle with the monitor setup to get it right...

Just ran a couple runs of vantage and it seemed to be fine. Cards are in SLI, that is ok right? I cant get the second client to start at all, just goes to unstable machine right away. I tried deleting and starting over but it didnt work.

SLI needs to be turned off when running mutiple GPU setup ...

Hmm maybe that is the problem, will try it. I thought I read somewhere that you could keep SLI on if you used those flags in the shortcuts but maybe I read wrong.

When you turn off SLI, if it doesn't say to reboot be sure that you do.

Can anyone confirm that it is NOT possible to have SLI enabled and fold on both cards?

I was pretty sure it needs to be disabled , same counts for crossfire ~!
or it won't work....

but then i found this link below,
http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardwarecanucks-f-h-team/22481-folding-sli-enabled-no-dummy-plug-second-monitor.html

now i am confused as well ?!

Yeah that's where I got my info from originally. I asked the guys there an no one seems to know.

Disabled SLI and it's working fine again :)
